London 1990.
Lookin' back, Colin realised that the boys in blue had made the wrong assumptions (never assume)
that Colin was a bomber!
Colin merely phoned 999 to inform them that the 'customer' in the toy store was 'possilby' a bomber; but Colin's call
was
recognised by them to throw him in the cooler. Ps better to inform and be wrong than not to inform and be correct!
Irvine 1990
After Colin had returned home from his London fiasco he stayed in Irvine with his parents for a short time before gaining
a new job in Kirkcaldyd, Fife.
To obviate the boredom he designed and built a miniature electronic amplifier for his Sony Walkman.
Once built he advertised the device (oh oh wrong move) in the local supermarket where they had a customer
notice board.
In the same way it is done in electronic magazines - he photographed the inside jaw-bucks of the device and
displayed it
on the board : three days later the photograph was dispersed and torn on the floor!
Obviously the boys in blue got hold of it and marked Colin as a 'bomber'!
Glasgow 1995
Colin was building another miniature electronic amplifier (Mark 4). At the old Maplans store in Glasgow
(on St Enoch Square)
he bought an electronic relay (a maganetic switch); and with his business done that day he relaxed with a 'few' black beers!
to forget the turgid past of London 1990.
On his way home he checked to see if he had not spent all his money on the black beers. He entered the
chipper to seek a
bag o' chips - didn't have enough money. So he exited the chipper to await for his bus.
